Gregg Carpenter
Owner
Gregg Carpenter the founder of Carpenter Metal Solutions. Gregg has worked in the commercial side of the metal business since 1986. CMS was founded in October 2003. Prior to Carpenter Metal Gregg was President of a Secondary Aluminum Smelter in Ohio which produced and shipped 130 million pounds of Specification Aluminum Alloy annually. Over Gregg’s 35 years of experience he has worked every commercial position in the industry. From a scale buyer to President, from his own small two yard operation to largest Aluminum recycler in the world, Gregg has leveraged it all to bring a cutting edge and dynamic approach to the recycling of Post Production Metal Assets. Gregg’s other passions are his family, His love of the outdoors, and his service in the local Church. Gregg is a former Elder at Hilltop Bible Fellowship in Canton, Ohio, now Heritage Reformed Baptist Church. In addition he serves on the boards of local 501(c)3 charitable organizations. Gregg is married to his childhood sweetheart Lisa. They have 4 children and 13 wonderful grandchildren. Gregg is a disabled Naval Veteran, and Carpenter Metal Solutions is a certified disabled veteran owned small business.
Patrick Gustaitis
Vice President of non-ferrous
Patrick Gustaitis is the vice president of non-ferrous at carpenter metal solutions. Patrick has worked in the scrap metals business since 2011. He started as a Commercial route buyer and then advanced to take over and manage the complete route system. He now handles all facets of nonferrous which include overseeing the complete operation of non-ferrous and catalytic converters from retail to commercial and from purchasing to selling. He manages
Daniel Hammer
CFO
Daniel has served as the CFO of Carpenter Metal Solutions since 2018. His primary responsibilities are managing the company’s finances, including financial
planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. Daniel has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry including his role as CIO and Principal for a financial planning and asset management firm.
Daniel graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and business management. He also earned his M.B.A. from Kent State. Daniel has been a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Society and has studied the CFA curriculum.
Daniel and his wife Tracy reside in Uniontown along with their 4 sons. Daniel enjoys volunteering his time coaching youth sports. He also stays involved in the community by serving on organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Daniel enjoys participating in his church by teaching Sunday School.

Jason Pihlblad
Commercial Buyer
Jason Pihlblad is a experienced and seasoned commercial scrap buyer. In 2004 he began his career in the recycling industry at Annaco Metallica spending the next 12 years learning all aspects of the recycling industry. During that time he built strong relationships throughout the industry.
In 2016 he continued in the metal recycling industry with Krash Metals as a industrial buyer acquiring new accounts. In 2018 Jason took a position as a buyer for Recycling Coordinators, in this position Jason focused his talents on purchasing materials from all over the world. Currently Jason resides in Canton Ohio. As of May 2020 Jason has joined the team at Carpenter Metal Solutions as a industrial buyer.
Maggie Hank
Management
Maggie Hank joined Carpenter Metal Solutions in the fall of 2016 and has served as the Scale House Manager, Logistics/Transportation, Accounting Clerk, and also assisted in our Plastics Division. Maggie now acts as the Office Administrator and Lead Accountant. She attended Kent State University where she majored in Information Technology. Maggie resides in Salem, Ohio with her husband Channing and

Connor Goodwin
Non-Ferrous Route Buyer
Connor is a route buyer with Carpenter Metal Solutions. He started out in 2017 as a cashier for the yard scale before transitioning to running the metal dock, and finally managed the metal dock laborers and non-ferrous warehouse before becoming a route buyer.
Connor graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
He hails from Owensboro, Kentucky, but moved to Ohio to marry his college sweetheart. He currently lives in Coventry Township with his wife Dilia and their son Jesse and attends Heritage Reformed Baptist Church in Canton.
Connor enjoys camping, music (his favorite genre is metal), and cooking for his family and friends.
